In the News

Nine Year Old Champs Matt Morris

On Sunday Nov 15th the Bayport-Blue Point 9 year olds (4th grade) won their second consecutive Division I Suffolk County Football Championship vs Nesconset/St. James at the PAL Complex in Holbrook. This makes them the number one football team at their age group for the second year in a row! (They won last year too!).
Before last year when they won the Championship, Bayport-Blue Point had never been to a championship at any level in youth football. This team not only advanced to the final game in the top division, but they won it. Same thing this year!
This is even more amazing when you consider tiny BBP is competing against some of the largest towns/school districts on Long Island, many of which are 6 to 7 times larger than BBP! Congratulations Phantoms!!
