BBP Civic Association News

Since this past Fall the BBP Junior Civic Association has continued its good works. Pictured here Councilman Neil Foley swears in this year’s BBP Junior Civic Association Executive Board. Under the mentorship of Janet Draffin, the Junior Civic has been involved in several community projects since the new school year began. They include a Bayport Beach clean-up, a local drug mapping with the Great South Bay Coalition, a food drive for the Our Lady of Snow food pantry and the gravestone restoration project at St. Ann’s Cemetery. They also recently gathered gifts for their annual Adopt-a-Family for the Holidays for those in need in our school district.

Any BBP students in grades 6-12 are welcome to join as the group meets every third Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm at the Bayport United Methodist Church or virtually on Zoom. Please check out their Facebook page at “Junior Bayport Civic” for all the latest.
