For the first time since 2017, the Bayport-Blue Point Heritage Association will be bringing back their wildly popular historical house tour on Sunday October 23 from 1-5pm. The thirty-first of its kind, the tour features different homes each year throughout Bayport and Blue Point, selected for their historical or cultural significance to the community.
The tour includes seven properties in total, including John E. Roosevelt’s stunning summer estate Meadowcroft. While the homes are labeled one through seven, the houses may be viewed in any order and tour-goers are encouraged to mix it up. Stationed at each stop are dedicated members of the Heritage Association, to welcome visitors as they arrive. Intended for audiences 12 and over, the tour provides a rare open door into our small community’s unique history. Each ticket includes a brief history of the properties by Heritage member Bill Bailey.
Tickets are $30 and are available at both the Bayport-Blue Point Library and the Bayport Flower Houses. Be aware that tickets are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis.
