This will allow you to get the accurate and timely fact as situations are changing rapidly and misinformation and hearsay is abundant. Regarding Workforce reductions for non-essential businesses (currently at 100% as of Sunday 8pm) go to this website for Mandate and essential business listing. You can also petition the Empire State Develpoment Corp. for essential status here https://esd.ny.gov/ The government wants EVERY business to call 311. They are taking a count of our losses at this present time and will ask a few questions, took me under 3 minutes to answer. They answered this phone call I made right away. THE LOAN WEBSITE IS NOW LIVE! The link for the SBA is https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/Information/Index Phone number is: 202-205-7036 Jennifer.Kelly@sba.gov is an outreach for us all at the loan center If you have questions about specifics in your business, for example lay offs, loss of profit, etc...they have a website set up with links to answer questions: Suffolkcountyny.gov/bru They also recommended to check your business insurance policies to see if you have business Interruption Insurance. Information regarding Unemployment benefits for affected workers ( Senator Boyle) Suffolk Residents can now text COVIDSUFFOLK to 67283 to receive latest developments and health guidance. There are new rules for filing unemployment claims with the Department of Labor. Due to an overwhelming amount of applicants in light of the Corona Virus, applicants can now apply by day based on their last names. NEW claimants with last names starting with A through F should apply on Mondays, G-N on Tuesdays and O-Z on Wednesdays. Thursdays and Fridays are for people who missed their filing day. Additionally, new claimants can apply online or by phone at 1-888-209-8124, from 8AM to 7:30PM. Monday through Thursday and 8AM to 6PM on Friday.
